Shakayiah Keys Obituary, Death; – A fatality was reported following a single-vehicle accident in Covington County. The incident took place on Highway 84 at approximately 12:15 p.m. on Wednesday, September 4.
According to officials from the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP), a 2015 Kia Optima was heading eastbound on the highway when it veered off the road and struck a tree.
The driver, identified as 20-year-old Shakayiah Keys from Taylorsville, sustained critical injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Mississippi Highway Patrol is currently conducting an investigation into this incident.
