Scott Reed Armstrong Obituary, Death; – The Allen County Coroner has identified the man who was shot and killed Tuesday at a gas station.
The coroner identified the man Friday as Scott Reed Armstrong, 45, from Fort Wayne. His death was ruled a homicide.
Tuesday evening, the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to reports of the shooting at a gas station downtown near the corner of East Washington Boulevard and Clay Street. Armstrong was found on the ground with gunshot wounds; he was taken to a trauma hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
The coroner ruled he died from multiple gunshot wounds.
The suspect, 34-year-old Domonique Drew, was arrested hours after the shooting and faces a preliminary charge of murder.
The shooting is still under investigation.
