Samuel Kwesi Minlah Obituary, Death; – A man from Vermillion has been recognized as the individual who lost his life in a two-vehicle accident that took place last week in the southeastern region of South Dakota.

Shortly after 8 a.m. on Friday, January 16, emergency responders in Clay County were summoned to the intersection of South Dakota Highways 46 and 19, approximately two miles south of Centerville, following reports of a two-vehicle collision.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol reported that a 2025 Ram 3500 pickup was heading west on Highway 46 while simultaneously, a 2011 Subaru Legacy was traveling south on Highway 19.

According to troopers, both vehicles entered the intersection concurrently, resulting in a collision between the Subaru and the Ram. Both vehicles ultimately came to a stop in the southwest ditch.
The driver of the Subaru, identified as 35-year-old Samuel Kwesi Minlah from Vermillion, succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash.

The driver of the Ram, a 20-year-old male from Harrisburg, did not sustain any injuries.

Authorities have stated that the South Dakota Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the incident.
