Salvatore Varsalona Obituary, Death; – A man lost his life in a head-on collision on Sunday afternoon in Anderson County, as reported by the Tennessee Highway Patrol. The preliminary report from the THP indicates that 60-year-old Salvatore Varsalona was driving a Ford Escape southbound on Brushy Valley Road shortly before 6 p.m. on Sunday.
According to troopers, Varsalona crossed over the double yellow line and collided with a northbound Ford F-250 near Pumpkin Hollow Road, ultimately coming to a halt in the center of Brushy Valley Road.
Troopers confirmed that Varsalona, who was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the Ford F-250 sustained no injuries in the incident. No further details have been disclosed.
