Rustin Needer Obituary, Death; – The individual who was struck and killed on Sunday has been identified.
The Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) reports that shortly before 2 a.m. on July 27, a pedestrian was hit by the driver of a northbound Buick Encore in the 1300 block of Gallatin Pike S. As per MNPD, the driver halted and conversed with the officers who arrived at the location.
The pedestrian, Rustin Needer, a 41-year-old resident of Nashville, succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Investigators looking into the fatal crash were informed by a family member that Needer had made a call to indicate he was walking home after his vehicle broke down on Gallatin Pike near Briley Parkway.
