Russell Joseph Battaglia,Christian Battaglia Obituary, Death; – Two individuals who lost their lives during a family dispute on Monday morning in Elk Grove have been named.
Russell Joseph Battaglia, aged 51, and Christian Battaglia, aged 19, were reportedly shot and killed by their relative, 18-year-old Noah Spencer Battaglia, during a family argument at approximately 5:30 a.m. in a residence located on the 8200 block of Triplefin Way, as stated by the Elk Grove Police Department.
According to police, Russell Battaglia was the father of the suspect, while Christian Battaglia was his older brother. Authorities indicated that Noah Battaglia fled the scene prior to the arrival of officers and was found two hours later in South Sacramento.
He was taken into custody and booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on Monday evening, as per corrections records. He is facing at least one charge of murder and is not eligible for bail.
Battaglia was arraigned on Wednesday and is anticipated to appear in Sacramento County Superior Court for a mandatory settlement conference in late August, according to court records.
