Robert Whiteside Jr,Barbara Whiteside Obituary, Death; – A tragic house fire has resulted in the deaths of a husband and wife, leaving their home in ruins.
The blaze erupted shortly before 5 a.m. on July 24 along Windmill Lane. The Crouse Fire Department was the first to respond, reportedly arriving within four minutes of the initial emergency call. They were subsequently joined by teams from the Southfork and Lincolnton Fire Departments.
Sadly, two individuals, identified as Robert Whiteside, Jr. and his spouse, Barbara Whiteside, lost their lives in the fire. The residence has been deemed a total loss.
The Lincoln County Fire Marshal’s Office has sought assistance from the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (SBI), which is currently conducting a comprehensive investigation into the cause of the fire.
