Robert Stang Obituary, Death; – The Preble County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed the identity of a man from Preble County who tragically lost his life in a vehicular accident on Tuesday, September 4.

The incident occurred around 6:50 p.m. on County Road 227, situated north of Swan Beatty Road. Initial investigations revealed that a 2019 Nissan pickup truck was traveling northbound on CR 227 when it veered off the right side of the road. The vehicle collided with a guardrail, subsequently descending over an embankment and into Seven Mile Creek.

The driver, identified as Robert Stang, 74, from Camden, was declared deceased at the scene. Authorities reported that he was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the incident. The road remained closed for several hours as deputies carried out their investigation and worked to retrieve the vehicle from the creek.
