Robert Porterfield Obituary, Death; – A 73-year-old man from Hermitage passed away on Saturday night after being hit by a vehicle in Sharon. As per a statement from the Mercer County Coroner’s Office, the deceased has been identified as Robert Porterfield.

Sharon police responded to the intersection of East State Street and Buhl Boulevard at 9:32 p.m. following a report of a vehicle-pedestrian collision. Upon arrival, officers discovered the pedestrian suffering from severe injuries. He was taken to Sharon Regional Health System, where he subsequently succumbed to his injuries.

According to the Mahoning County Coroner’s report, the cause of death was determined to be blunt force trauma to the head, and the manner of death was classified as accidental. The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and was cooperative with the authorities, as reported by the investigators.
