Rita Kubat Obituary, Death; – Officers identified the woman who died in a rollover crash in Stink Lake on Saturday. The 67-year-old woman was identified as Rita Kubat of Jamestown.
North Dakota Highway Patrol responded to the report of a submerged vehicle on July 26 in Stink Lake. According to preliminary investigation, the 1999 Toyota Camry entered the west ditch on 65th Avenue NE (Old US Highway 281), rolling over large rocks, and came to a stop on the vehicles roof in Stink Lake.
Kubat was pronounced dead at the scene with no seatbelt in use. Authorities have not detailed in documents whether she had her seatbelt in use prior to the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
