Richard Nash Obituary, Death: – A tragic motorcycle accident took place in St. Tammany Parish on Thursday, September 26, leading to the death of 63-year-old Richard Nash, a resident of Bush, Louisiana. The Louisiana State Police reported that the incident occurred just before 4 p.m. on Louisiana Highway 41, close to Dolph Gaines Road.
Initial investigations conducted by Troop L troopers indicated that the crash involved a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado and a 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle. The Chevrolet, which was traveling south on Highway 41, made a left turn directly into the path of the northbound motorcycle, resulting in a collision with the truck’s passenger side.
Although Nash was wearing a DOT-approved helmet, he suffered critical injuries from the collision. He was promptly taken to a local hospital but, regrettably, did not survive his injuries. The driver of the Chevrolet remained unharmed in the incident.
While there is no suspicion of impairment concerning the Chevrolet driver, standard toxicology tests were performed as part of the ongoing investigation, which aims to clarify the precise details surrounding the accident.
