Richard Crowder Obituary, Death; – A man has been apprehended in relation to the murder of an Exeter resident in 2022, according to the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office.
At approximately 1:30 AM on May 30, 2022, deputies responded to reports of a shooting at a residence located at the intersection of Spruce and Alfred Streets in Exeter. Upon their arrival, deputies discovered the body of 65-year-old Richard Crowder from Exeter, who had been fatally shot.
As the investigation progressed, detectives identified 24-year-old Nicholas Hayes, also from Exeter, as the prime suspect.
The Tulare County Sheriff’s Office obtained an arrest warrant and located Hayes at a residence on Florence Avenue near Riggin Avenue in Goshen on Friday. He has since been booked into the TCSO Pre-Trial Facility and is facing charges of murder.
