Richard Blundo Obituary, Death; – A 63-year-old man named Richard Blundo, who was using a wheelchair, was identified by Fort Pierce Police as the individual who died after being hit by a vehicle on July 3.
At 6 a.m. on July 3, police responded to the vicinity of Virginia Avenue and U.S. 1. A preliminary investigation revealed that a man in a wheelchair was struck by a truck while attempting to cross U.S. 1 at a crosswalk, according to police spokesperson Juliana Walker.
Walker indicated that the truck was traveling south on U.S. 1 as the man in the wheelchair crossed the street from west to east. The man was identified as Blundo by the police.
He was transported to a local hospital where he subsequently passed away, as stated by Walker.
As of July 8, police were unable to disclose Blundo’s city of residence.
