Peter Roberts Obituary, Death; – The McHenry County Coroner’s Office has confirmed the identity of a man who lost his life in a car accident near Woodstock on Tuesday morning.
The coroner reported that Peter Roberts, aged 35, from McHenry, was the individual who perished in the single-vehicle incident. Initial autopsy results conducted on Wednesday indicate that Roberts suffered fatal blunt-force trauma to the head and chest, as stated in a news release on Wednesday.
Emergency responders from the Woodstock Fire/Rescue District arrived at the scene on Kishwaukee Valley Road at 7:51 a.m. Tuesday, where they discovered a severely damaged pickup truck that had collided with a tree in a yard, according to fire department spokesperson Alex Vucha. Paramedics determined that Roberts had “succumbed to his injuries” and he was pronounced dead at the scene, Vucha added.
The coroner’s office is collaborating with the Woodstock Police Department, the Woodstock Fire/Rescue District, and the McHenry County accident team, as mentioned in the release. A GoFundMe campaign has been initiated to assist Roberts’ family, with the organizer stating, “Peter has touched the lives of so many of us and will always be remembered for the beautiful soul he was.”
