Peter J. Raptis Obituary, Death; – A fatal incident occurred on Saturday in Morgan Township involving a three-wheeled vehicle, as reported by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The OSHP stated that at approximately 4 p.m., 43-year-old Peter J. Raptis from Canfield was operating a 2020 Polaris Slingshot, accompanied by 47-year-old Kelly McCormick from Campbell.
While traveling southbound on State Route 45 near mile post 13 during a rainstorm, the vehicle veered off the right side of the roadway.
Subsequently, it collided with a tree, resulting in Raptis being ejected from the vehicle, according to the OSHP. Both individuals were transported to Geauga Hospital for medical attention. Unfortunately, Raptis was later pronounced deceased, as indicated in the report. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
