Paul Tooson Obituary, Death; – Pelham Police are investigating a shooting that killed one man and injured another. The shooting happened Sept. 2 around 8:13 p.m. in the 500 block of Grand Reserve Drive.
Police found two people with gunshot wounds at the scene. Paul Tooson, 78, died at the scene. Another man was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
A preliminary investigation shows an argument between the two men led to one of the getting a gun and hitting the other man in the leg. A struggle over the gun then took place and the gun discharged a second time.
Police say this is an isolated incident and there is no danger to the public.
