Patsy Montgomery,James Montgomery Obituary, Death;- The Beaufort County Coroner’s Office has identified the two individuals killed in a boating incident in Hilton Head on June 28.
Patsy Montgomery, a 73-year-old female from Bluffton and her husband James Montgomery, a 76-year-old male also from Bluffton were identified as the deceased. According to SCDNR officers, investigators responded to the area of Skull Creek in Beaufort County after a vessel had capsized with four people and two dogs onboard.
Two people were located and transported to Hilton Head Hospital for treatment, but the other two and the two dogs were unaccounted for, SCDNR said. Divers were deployed and located and recovered the bodies of the Montgomerys and the two dogs from within the overturned vessel.
