Omar Ali Arrested; – Authorities have identified the motorist involved in the incident where a young woman was struck and left behind on Tuesday afternoon.
Omar Ali, aged 54, was operating a dump truck when law enforcement reports indicate he collided with a woman who was crossing at Clairmont Road and Dresden Drive shortly after midday.
The 20-year-old victim, whose name has not been disclosed, succumbed to injuries sustained in the accident.
Investigators informed Channel 2’s Tom Regan that Ali did not stop following the collision; however, the woman’s boyfriend was able to provide a description of the truck.
