Nina Vongsouvanh Obituary, Death; – Roanoke police have confirmed the identity of the woman who lost her life in a single-vehicle accident on Brandon Avenue Southwest last month.

Nina Vongsouvanh, aged 25, was critically injured in the incident, which took place shortly before 6 p.m. on November 25 in the 3800 block of the street. She was subsequently transported to a hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

Additionally, a 1-year-old boy was also taken to a local hospital for assessment, but police reported on Tuesday that he sustained no injuries. Vongsouvanh’s passing marks one of at least seven traffic-related fatalities in Roanoke this year, as indicated by the crash data map from the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles. The department has recorded a total of 10 fatalities resulting from accidents in the city in 2023.
