Nadia Startzman Obituary, Death; – A woman from Chambersburg has tragically passed away following her ejection from a vehicle involved in a collision that occurred over the weekend between Newville and Carlisle.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police, a 19-year-old man from Newville was operating a 2004 Ford Freestar in the 2220 block of Newville Road at approximately 12:30 PM on Saturday when he fell asleep at the wheel. The vehicle subsequently veered off the right side of the road and collided with a utility pole on the front passenger side.

Upon impact, the Ford spun counterclockwise back onto the roadway. During this rotation, the passenger, identified as 20-year-old Nadia Startzman of Chambersburg, was ejected through the passenger side window. Authorities report that Startzman sustained fatal injuries due to this ejection. A second vehicle, a 2015 Dodge Dart driven by a 45-year-old woman from Red Lion, struck debris from the crashed Ford, resulting in only minor damage to her vehicle.

The driver of the Ford was transported to Holy Spirit Medical Center; however, he was not reported to have sustained any injuries. In light of Startzman’s death, the Pennsylvania State Police have announced that they are continuing their investigation into the incident, with further updates to be provided by their department.
