Monterio Harris Obituary, Death; – The individual who was shot and killed on I-65 near Airport Boulevard in the early hours of Sunday morning has been identified as 28-year-old Monterio Harris, as reported by the Mobile Police Department.
According to a news release from the MPD, officers responded to a local hospital at approximately 1:15 a.m. on December 8, following a report of a gunshot victim. Harris, who arrived at the hospital in a private vehicle with critical injuries, was subsequently pronounced dead.
During the investigation, authorities determined that Harris was a passenger in a vehicle traveling southbound on I-65 when another vehicle approached and occupants began firing shots at them. As a result of the investigation, a portion of the interstate was temporarily closed. Police have stated that the investigation is ongoing.
