Modris Kruminsh Obituary, Death; – A 62-year-old Nashua man was struck and killed by a pickup truck early Friday morning on the F.E. Everett Turnpike. Modris Kruminsh has been identified as the victim of the 5:30 a.m. crash on the northbound side of the turnpike between Exits 5 and 6. State police released the man’s name Monday.

Kruminsh was reportedly walking on the highway when he was hit. When state troopers and Nashua police officers arrived, they found Kruminsh dead at the scene after he was struck by a Ford F-150. The driver, whose name was not released, remained at the scene.

The northbound lanes were closed for several hours while investigators worked the scene. State police are still investigating the cause of the crash. Anyone who witnessed the crash or who has information that may assist the investigation may call Trooper Timothy Repucci at 603-223-4381
