Michael Terrio Obituary, Death; – A 32-year-old man from Killingworth, who served as a firefighter, tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident on Interstate 95 south on Friday night, according to officials.

Connecticut State Police have identified the victim as Michael Terrio, and the investigation into the fatal incident is ongoing.

“Firefighter Terrio was a devoted public servant who dedicated himself to safeguarding the residents of Guilford,” stated the Guilford Fire Department in a post on Sunday morning. “His absence is profoundly felt by his fellow firefighters, colleagues from various town departments, and the entire Guilford community.”

Terrio was riding a Suzuki motorcycle when he collided with a Volvo XC90 from behind at approximately 8:45 p.m. near exit 59, as reported by the police. The driver of the SUV, a 66-year-old man from New Jersey, sustained minor injuries and was transported to the hospital, according to police.
