Emergency services received a report of a possible home invasion around 3:30 a.m. Upon arrival, officers conducted an investigation that uncovered that a man had entered the residence, shot Hager, and then took his own life.
The shooter has been identified as Michael Rahmlow, a 42-year-old from Franklin County, Kentucky. Authorities have noted that Rahmlow had a prior connection to Hager, having dated her sister-in-law, which may have played a role in the tragic events.
