Michael L Uphold Obituary, Death; – A 65-year-old man lost his life on Saturday afternoon following a collision with a tree on Littlerock Road, as reported by the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office and the county coroner. At approximately 3:35 p.m., Michael L. Uphold was operating his vehicle in the 16800 block of the road, located north of Rochester.
The vehicle overturned in the vicinity, collided with a tree, which subsequently fell onto the vehicle, according to Thurston sheriff’s Sgt. Jeff Dehan. The specific direction of travel at the time of the incident remains unclear. The road was closed for around three hours while the investigation took place, Dehan noted. Coroner Gary Warnock indicated that the medical examination for the deceased is scheduled for Tuesday.
