Michael Horan Obituary, Death; – The Greensboro Police Department is conducting an investigation into a shooting incident that resulted in the death of an officer at a Food Lion on Monday morning. According to police reports, the shooting took place at approximately 11 a.m. in the 4700 block of Lawndale Drive.
Our CBS affiliate in Greensboro has confirmed that the officer who lost his life in the incident has been identified as Michael Horan. The Greensboro Police Department indicated that they received notifications regarding an armed individual inside the Food Lion.
Authorities have stated that the suspect is now in custody. A spokesperson for Food Lion has announced that the store will remain closed for the rest of the day.
