Melissa Jubane Obituary, – A nurse from Oregon, who was reported missing after failing to attend her work shift earlier this week, has been discovered deceased, and a neighbor has been arrested and charged with her murder.
Melissa Jubane, aged 32, did not report for her scheduled shift at St. Vincent Hospital in Portland on Wednesday morning, as stated by the Beaverton Police Department. Officers performed a welfare check at Jubane’s residence, but she was not present.
Throughout the day, family members and investigators made attempts to reach her without success. Detectives noted that her phone seemed to be turned off, and searches of her bank and credit card records yielded no information regarding her location.
As the investigation progressed, authorities identified a neighbor, 27-year-old Bryce Johnathan Schubert, as being “involved in her disappearance.” He was taken into custody on Friday evening and subsequently charged with murder.
Police have confirmed that Jubane’s remains have been located, although they have not disclosed the circumstances surrounding how, where, or when this occurred, nor have they detailed Schubert’s involvement in the case.
“This is an active investigation,” police stated. “While we recognize the considerable interest and concern from the community, we must refrain from providing additional details to maintain the integrity of the investigation.”
