McKinzi Raisor Obituary, Death; – On Tuesday, the Kentucky State Police reported the arrest of a man following a collision in Nelson County that resulted in the death of an 18-year-old and injuries to a minor.
Jonathan Hood, 26, from Lawrenceburg, faces charges including vehicular homicide, wanton endangerment, driving under the influence, and operating a vehicle with an open alcohol container, as stated in a KSP news release.
Hood is currently held at the Nelson County Detention Center, and KSP is continuing its investigation into the incident. On April 22, KSP was alerted to a two-vehicle accident near the 800 block of KY-509 in the Coxs Creek Community. Investigators suspect that Hood was driving a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado eastbound on KY-509 when he veered into the opposite lane, colliding with a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 17-year-old.
Both Hood and the juvenile driver were taken to UofL Hospital with life-threatening injuries, though no further updates on their conditions have been provided. Tragically, a passenger in the juvenile’s vehicle, 18-year-old McKinzi Raisor, was declared dead at the scene by the Nelson County Coroner’s Office.
