Mary Harris Obituary, Death; – An elderly woman has passed away following a collision in Monroe County. Senior Staff Sgt. Derrick Beckom of the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) has identified the deceased as 83-year-old Mary Harris from Greenwood Springs.
The identity was also confirmed by Monroe County Coroner Alan Gurley. The accident occurred on Wednesday morning, January 22, shortly before 7:18 a.m. on Highway 8, as reported by MHP. Gurley indicated that the location is east of Aberdeen, near Shields Circle.
According to MHP, a pickup truck traveling east collided with Harris’ pickup truck, which was heading west. The driver of the other vehicle was transported to a hospital in Tupelo with moderate injuries, as stated by MHP.
