Mary A Byler Obituary, Death; – A woman traveling in a horse-drawn buggy in Ohio tragically lost her life on Sunday when a commercial truck collided with the rear of the buggy, as reported by officials from the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

According to troopers, a 31-year-old man from Dearborn, Michigan, was operating a Volvo commercial truck on US-422, trailing the horse and buggy shortly before 7:45 a.m.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol indicated that the truck struck the back of the buggy, causing a man and a woman who were passengers to be ejected.

The woman, who has been identified as 60-year-old Mary A. Byler from Burton, succumbed to her injuries at the scene.

The 62-year-old man who was driving the buggy was airlifted to University Hospitals Medical Center in Cleveland due to serious injuries, as stated by OSHP.

The driver of the commercial truck was unharmed, as confirmed by OSHP, and he was wearing his seat belt at the time of the incident.

OSHP did not provide information regarding the condition of the horse involved in the accident.

Authorities have stated that there were no indications of alcohol or drugs being a contributing factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
