Marvin Donnell Jones Jr Obituary, Death; – Authorities have confirmed the identity of a teenager who was fatally shot over the weekend in Fairfield County.
Fairfield County Coroner Chris Hill reported that 17-year-old Marvin Donnell Jones, Jr. passed away on Saturday at the Winnfield West Apartments located in Winnsboro.
As per the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched in response to a report of gunfire at the apartment complex around 11 p.m. Upon arrival, authorities discovered Jones inside an apartment suffering from gunshot wounds. The teenager was pronounced dead at the scene.
Additionally, the sheriff’s office indicated that a 17-year-old suspect, whose identity has not yet been disclosed, surrendered shortly after the investigation commenced. The suspect is facing charges of murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.
