Major Forrest Obituary, Death; – The Saint Albans Police Department has confirmed the identity of an individual who was struck and killed by a train on Thursday, January 9. Authorities report that Major Forrest, 31, from Saint Albans, was declared deceased at the scene of the accident.
Responding to the incident were members of the Saint Albans Police Department, the Saint Albans Fire Department, the Kanawha County Emergency Ambulance Authority, and CSX Police, who arrived at the vicinity of Spruce Street following notifications of a person being hit. A search along a one-mile segment of the railway led to the discovery of a man lying on the southern side of the tracks, in proximity to Willow Street.
