Luis Manuel Cruz-Alfar, Arrested; – Chesterfield Police report that a man is facing charges following the discovery of a 15-year-old girl who was shot to death inside a parked vehicle. In the early hours of March 2, officers responded to a shooting incident in the 6300 block of Pewter Avenue.
Upon their arrival, they found a car with two individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. One victim, a 15-year-old girl, was declared dead at the scene, while the other, an adult male, was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to Chesterfield Police. Authorities indicated that the teenager and the adult male were acquainted. Consequently, the police initially charged him in relation to the shooting. However, on Thursday, a significant update was provided by the police.
As the investigation advanced and more evidence was collected and analyzed, detectives concluded that both the juvenile female and the adult male had been shot by 24-year-old Luis Manuel Cruz-Alfar, as stated by Chesterfield Police. Cruz-Alfar has been charged with second-degree murder and the use of a firearm during the commission of a felony. Investigators suspect that Cruz-Alfar and the adult male victim were known to each other. The charges against the second victim have been dismissed.
