Adrian Raul Godinez, aged 35, is alleged to have killed his father, 56-year-old Luis Godinez Gonzalez, who was discovered critically injured within their home on Skyline Drive on the morning of April 27. According to the San Diego police, following the shooting of his father, Godinez proceeded to a nearby liquor store, where he discharged a firearm in the direction of an employee behind the counter.

The police received a 911 call shortly before 8:30 a.m. concerning a gunshot that had been fired near 7900 Skyline Drive, as well as reports of a man wandering the area while brandishing a firearm, as stated by SDPD Lt. Lou Maggi.

The incident at the liquor store was reported shortly thereafter at Moonlight Liquor located on South Meadowbrook Drive.
