Lourdes Del Carmen Nunez Burgos Obituary, Death; – The Hot Springs Village Police Department (HSVPD) has confirmed that a woman who was a victim of homicide was pregnant at the time of her demise.
On June 12, HSVPD received notifications regarding a man running on Nacozari Lane and yelling at local residents. Upon arrival, officers discovered the man, later identified as Stephen Gantz, 54, departing the neighborhood in a black SUV.
The police attempted to initiate a traffic stop on Gantz, who refused to comply and fled at high speeds. Gantz ultimately returned to a residence on Nacozari Lane, where he was apprehended by law enforcement officers. During a search of the residence, police reported finding a deceased woman inside the premises.
HSVPD’s Criminal Investigation Division has since identified the deceased as 42-year-old Lourdes Del Carmen Nunez Burgos. Authorities confirmed that Burgos, who was originally from Paraguay, was pregnant at the time of her death. Gantz has been charged with first-degree murder and felony fleeing. Officials have stated that their investigation remains open and ongoing.
