Ling Ling Jiang Obituary, Death; – A 32-year-old woman lost her life in an accident on Route 222 in Lancaster County on Sunday night. The coroner’s office has identified the victim as Ling Ling Jiang, a resident of New York City.
The incident occurred at approximately 10:30 p.m. in the northbound lanes of Route 222, close to Pleasant Valley Road in West Earl Township. According to police reports, five individuals were traveling in a 2019 Jeep Wrangler that overturned onto its roof.
A statement from the coroner’s office indicated, “Coroner investigators arrived and observed an adult female near a vehicle off the roadway.” Jiang was a passenger in the vehicle and was extricated by first responders.
She was declared deceased at the scene. Three other occupants sustained minor injuries and were transported to the hospital. Authorities noted that the road conditions were described as “extremely icy” at the time of the accident. The crash resulted in the closure of Route 222 for several hours, with the road reopening at 4 a.m. on Monday.
