Leroy Wedge, Obituary, Death; – Authorities have confirmed the identity of the individual who tragically lost their life in a hit-and-run incident that took place on Saturday morning in Prince George’s County.
Leroy Wedge, aged 43, from Upper Marlboro, was fatally struck while trying to cross Maryland Route 202 near Wood Branch Court at approximately 6:20 a.m., as reported by the Maryland State Police.
Investigators suspect that the vehicle involved in the incident may be a GMC Terrain or Chevrolet Equinox manufactured between 2012 and 2014. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene, and no arrests have yet been made.
SUV being sought by law enforcement
The collision resulted in the closure of Maryland Route 202 for over three hours.
