Kristen Felts Obituary, Death; – A woman succumbed to her injuries following a collision on Route 258 in Isle of Wight County on Wednesday afternoon, as reported by Virginia State Police.

The incident occurred at approximately 3:20 p.m. on the highway, situated south of Bones & Arrows Road, according to police accounts. Authorities indicate that while traveling southbound on Route 258, the driver of a Honda Civic veered into the northbound lanes, colliding head-on with a 2018 Chevrolet Camaro.

The female driver of the Honda was transported to the hospital, where she later passed away due to her injuries. She has been identified as 50-year-old Kristen Felts from Franklin. The 28-year-old male driver of the Camaro was also taken to the hospital, suffering from serious injuries, as stated by police.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing; however, preliminary findings suggest that both weather conditions and speed may have played a role in the incident. On that day, much of the region was under a tornado watch and a severe thunderstorm watch until 8 p.m. and 6 p.m., respectively. There is no evidence to suggest that alcohol was involved, according to police reports.
