Keefer Kearns Obituary, Death; – Omaha police identified the 14-year-old boy who was hit and killed while trying to walk across the Dodge Expressway. Officers responded to 156th and Dodge streets around 6:43 p.m. for reports of a pedestrian hit by a vehicle, Omaha police said.
Authorities found a teen, identified as Keefer Kearns, near the exit ramp at 156th Street, Omaha police said. Officers immediately performed CPR on scene and transported Kearns to Bergan Mercy Hospital, where he died. Police said Kearns was hit by a westbound Chevy Silverado. That driver stopped at the scene and cooperated with the police investigation, which is ongoing.
