Juvar King Obituary, Death; – 19 News has reported that the death of Juvar King, a father from Warren who was previously missing, has been classified as a homicide. The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner confirmed that King suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head.

His body was discovered behind a residence in East Cleveland on March 17, following his initial report of disappearance on February 4. The Medical Examiner indicated that King’s remains were found outside a property located at the intersection of Chapman Avenue and Terrace Road. Interim Police Chief Kenneth Lundy stated, ‘We will work diligently to ensure that those responsible are held accountable.’ King’s family had reported him missing to the Warren Police Department after he did not arrive to pick up his daughters.

Shortly after his disappearance, his family expressed their distress to 19 News, with his daughter, Javanier King, stating, ‘We have never gone this long without hearing from him or seeing him; it feels like a movie, a nightmare from which we cannot awaken.’ On the same day King went missing, firefighters responded to a vehicle fire over 50 miles away in Cleveland, but the police were not informed of the incident until five days later.

19 News acquired body camera footage from the police response to the burned vehicle. In the footage, an officer inquired about recent fire calls, stating, ‘We made contact with this car, and it’s completely burned, there’s no VIN.’ Another officer replied, ‘Per fire, they had that assignment on February 4th for 9306 Sherwood.’ The first officer then questioned, ‘Why were we not notified?’ to which the response was, ‘Sometimes, with car fires, we are not informed because it’s a fire.’ The vehicle had been abandoned at an illegal dumping site on Sherwood Road in the eastern part of the city.

A Cleveland officer remarked, ‘It is a Buick. This appears to have been here for quite some time. I have never encountered a burned car before.’ The charred vehicle belonging to the father is merely one element in the ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding the disappearance of the 46-year-old.
