Junior Cabrera-Colon,Geraldina Peguero-Mancebo Obituary, Death; – Additional murder charges have been brought against a man accused of taking the lives of a family in Berks County.
Jose Luis Rodriguez, aged 61, was initially charged solely with the murder of 33-year-old Junior Cabrera-Colon, whose body was discovered with gunshot wounds on September 13. He is now facing charges for the murders of Cabrera-Colon’s wife and son as well.
After the discovery of Cabrera-Colon’s remains, the Pennsylvania State Police initiated a missing persons investigation for his wife, 30-year-old Geraldina Peguero-Mancebo, and their one-year-old son, Jayden, as reported by family members.
A few days later, the bodies of Peguero-Mancebo and their child were located in a grassy area several miles from Reading.
On Monday, law enforcement officials announced the new murder charges, stating their belief that Cabrera-Colon was killed subsequent to the murders of Peguero-Mancebo and their son.
Rodriguez has been incarcerated at the Berks County jail since September 19.
