Jose Wedergren Obituary, Death;- Omaha police identified the 33-year-old motorcyclist who was killed in a crash on Thursday.
The incident happened around 11 p.m. in the area of John F. Kennedy Expressway and O Street. The preliminary investigation found a 2006 Victory Vegas motorcycle was headed north when it hit the side of a 2011 BMW sedan.
The crash threw the motorcyclist, identified as Jose Wedergren of Fremont, from the bike. He was taken to the hospital where he later died. Neither of the occupants in the BMW were injured. Omaha police said Wedergren was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Officers believe speed was a factor in the crash.
