Jose D Centeno Obituary, Death; – A 73-year-old man from Elizabeth has been identified as the individual who tragically lost his life on Tuesday afternoon due to an industrial accident in Clifton.
Jose D. Centeno sustained severe injuries from machinery at 1 Broad Street, as reported in 911 calls received at 3:28 p.m. on Tuesday. Upon the arrival of first responders in Clifton, Centeno was pronounced dead. Leni Fortson from the U.S. Department of Labor confirmed that Centeno was employed by Ricova Recycling, where the incident took place.
Lieutenant Robert Anderson of the Clifton Police Department stated that the event has been classified as an accident. The circumstances surrounding the fatal machinery accident are currently under investigation by both OSHA and the police department. OSHA has a period of six months to complete its investigation and publish its findings.
