John DePalma Obituary, Death; – A man from Worcester, who tragically lost his life after being struck by a vehicle while crossing the street on January 10, has been named.

At approximately 5:15 p.m., Worcester police responded to a report of a pedestrian accident at 265 Lake Avenue. The victim, identified as 71-year-old John DePalma, was seriously injured after being hit while crossing Lake Avenue after disembarking from a bus, as confirmed by Worcester police spokesperson Joseph Cersosimo to MassLive. DePalma was crossing from east to west when a car traveling north on Lake Avenue collided with him.

A nurse present at the scene provided immediate assistance to DePalma. He was subsequently transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. According to police, the driver of the vehicle stated that he did not see DePalma and remained at the scene following the incident. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
