Jody M Rinderer,Victoria L Goss Obituary, Death; The identities of two individuals who lost their lives in a crash on Illinois Route 162 in Pontoon Beach on September 19 were disclosed on Monday by the Madison County Coroner’s Office.
Jody M. Rinderer, aged 47, and Victoria L. Goss, aged 32, both residents of Granite City, were the drivers of two separate vehicles involved in the incident. A juvenile passenger in Goss’ vehicle was transported to a hospital in the St. Louis area, and their condition remains unknown.
The accident took place at approximately 7:36 p.m. on September 19.
Rinderer was operating a 2003 Maroon Chevrolet Silverado, while Goss was driving a 2017 Buick Enclave that collided head-on in the 5000 block of Illinois Route 162. The Silverado ignited following the impact.
Goss was alert after the collision and was taken to Gateway Regional Medical Center, where she subsequently passed away.
The investigation is ongoing, being conducted by the Pontoon Beach Police Department, the Illinois State Police Crash Reconstruction Unit, and the Coroner’s Office.
Funeral arrangements for Rinderer are currently pending with Central Cremation Center of Forsyth, Illinois.
Funeral arrangements for Goss are also pending with Irwin Chapel in Granite City.
