Jianzhu Yu Obituary, Death; – Nashville law enforcement is seeking information following an incident in which an 82-year-old woman was struck and left on the roadway in a South Nashville neighborhood.
Authorities responded to the vicinity of Wingate Avenue near Sunrise Avenue at approximately 2:30 a.m. on Sunday, where they discovered the woman, later identified as Jianzhu Yu.
Yu was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she was pronounced deceased, according to a police statement.
Initial investigations indicate that a vehicle collided with Yu on Wingate Avenue before departing the scene, as reported by the police. Individuals with any relevant information are encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
