Jessica Elaine Crummel Obituary, Death; – On Thursday, homicide detectives requested assistance from the public as they investigate the death of a 43-year-old homeless woman, whose body was discovered in a tent located in an Anaheim field.
Personnel from the Anaheim Police Department and Anaheim Fire & Rescue responded to a report of an unconscious and bleeding woman at approximately 3 a.m. on Tuesday, in the 2100 block of West Crescent Avenue.
“Upon their arrival, they found a deceased woman, identified as 43-year-old Jessica Elaine Crummel of Anaheim, inside a tent situated in a large unoccupied field on the north side of the street,” stated Sgt. Matt Sutter, a spokesman for the Anaheim police.
The preliminary investigation indicated that the cause of death was homicide, according to Sutter.
Sutter also mentioned that Crummel was likely residing in the tent at the time of her death.
