Jerin Butcher Obituary, Death; – A sport motorcycle crash in Marinette County on Saturday morning killed a 16-year-old.
Just before 10 a.m. on Saturday, the Marinette County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a possible ATV crash on Loucks Road near England Road in the Town of Grover.
Deputies on scene determined that it was a sport motorcycle that crashed, not an ATV. After a preliminary investigation, deputies say that the motorcycle was going west on Loucks Road when the driver lost control, went into the ditch, and crashed. Speed is believed to have been a factor.
The driver was identified as 16-year-old Jerin Butcher of Green Bay. He was pronounced dead from his injuries. Deputies say he was wearing his helmet when the crash happened. The Marinette County Sheriff’s Office and Marinette County Medical Examiner’s Office are still investigating the crash.
