Jeremy Simien Obituary, Death; – On April 25, a pedestrian was fatally injured in Sweetwater County due to a hit-and-run incident involving a semitrailer. The accident occurred around 4:30 p.m. on Interstate 80, near milepost 99 close to Rock Springs, where 41-year-old Jeremy Simien from Texas had parked his vehicle and was standing outside.
The semitrailer struck Simien and did not stop afterward. The Wyoming Highway Patrol’s report indicates that possible contributing factors include driver inattention, cell phone usage, and driver fatigue. The WHP has made a public appeal on social media for assistance in identifying the driver or the company associated with the vehicle.
