Jeremy Patton Obituary, Death; – A deceased individual was discovered at an apartment complex located near the Indiana State Fairgrounds on Wednesday night.
The Marion County Coroner’s Office identified the individual as 38-year-old Jeremy Patton on Thursday morning. According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, they received a report regarding a burglary at the complex on East 38th Street at approximately 11:35 PM.
“We are uncertain about the circumstances surrounding this incident, as there are no witnesses available. It is somewhat atypical for us to receive a call regarding a burglary in progress without any signs of forced entry,” stated IMPD Captain Don Weilhammer.
Captain Weilhammer noted that a key was located and that they had spoken with a security guard. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are still seeking suspects.
